This professional development session explores women’s mental health through the unique intersection of the brain, hormones, stress, and the demands of the education profession. Educators will learn about women’s anxiety and depression, the effects of chronic stress, and the impact of perimenopause and menopause on mood, sleep, energy, and cognitive functioning. The session will also move beyond traditional ideas of “self-care” to explore practical, sustainable strategies for managing stress, setting boundaries, recognizing personal needs, and building greater well-being. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of women’s mental health and practical tools to support themselves—and the women around them—through different stages of life and career.
