TransformED 2026

My name is Tami Morrow and I earned my master in social work in 1994 from Wayne State University.  After earning my MSW, I worked in a variety of clinical and community settings, particularly an outpatient mental health practice specializing in providing individual, group and family therapy to children and adolescents. During this time, I was also delivering services in the education system to students and families, as well as supporting  educators. I experienced the positive impact that my role as a social worker could provide, therefore I returned to graduate school earning my special education school social worker endorsement. Soon after, I began working at Genesee Intermediate school district serving many roles such as special education school social worker, behavioral consultant, classroom/school/district coach, coordinator, and county trainer. This is my 12th year working for the MIMTSS Technical Assistance Center and I have served a variety of roles since my first year. Currently I’m a SEBH professional learning specialist. I develop SEBH/mental health professional learning for educational systems, and also support districts/schools providing training and coaching. I’m happy to be attending the Special Populations conference and honored to share my knowledge and experiences.
